The American Board of Medical Quality established and offers an examination leading to certification for professionals and programs that present evidence of expertise, experience, and training in the field of Medical Quality Management, including clinical quality improvement and patient safety.

Congratulations on making the important decision to pursue the Certified in Medical Quality (CMQ) professional designation. The following application and registration process will require you to upload several specific documents in order to confirm you meet the exam eligibility criteria. To prepare, please make sure that you have access to the following items:

• Proof of highest educational degree earned (diploma, etc.) is required; proof of other degrees is optional.
• A copy of each applicable license and certification you currently hold is required.
• A copy of your current Resume/CV is required.

Having these documents available will make the process of completing the application most efficient.
